Thanks for it!
I mean you're a trumpeter I think that says enough 😄
Nice tone
We are playing this piece for band for clarification I play clarinet and tenor saxophone but only play clarinet in band because I didn’t make tryouts for sax! But I’ll play sax next year because I’m in 8th grade and I’ll be going to high school
I feel like most horn players switched from trumpet, or played it at one point. Me included.
What is that posture
Not the drumcore during drumline I cant march all year round so i move to pit in the winter 😂 and I once played trumpet for parade band and it was not fun my arms were falling off so I'd rather stick to saxophone with my neck strap I'd rather my neck hurts
Watching for French Horn. Hi to all the Hornists out there!
GOOD INSTRUMENT? CLARINET JS GOOD?? EVEN TAYLOR PLAYED😭😭🔫🔫 edit: wrong emoji i mean to do this 😭😭💔💔
Honestly they all sound good except for e… if you’re in 8th grade or above there’s no reason you should still be that congested
Happens quite frequently with instruments which people cannot decide if they transpose or not. The one time I remember the most was on a 8 tuba section on a piece that had no bass at the start, so everything was going well. Untill we get to the first note, a fortissimo C. But it wasn't a C, it was a Bb. The guy responsible for the sheet music had accidentally given us transposed parts. The conductor was really pissed for a second, untill he realized it would be pretty hard for 8 players to screw up simultaneously.
Song?
Try to keep your fingers constantly on the valves
I remember the good old days when band music was only one page
im not critiquing here just here to say i thought bro was about to play rhapsody in blue 💀
Is he just telling us that his band director as a kid was a ...
The first DCI show I ever attended was the US Open in Marion, Ohio, in 1975. Experiencing the 1975 Madison Scouts from the 50 yard line was life-changing. 50 years later my ears are still ringing.
As a middle school trumpet player who is preparing for high school band I cannot roast you at all. I have learned tons of tips from your channel that have helped me play a LOT better. Thank You!!
You sound great! I suggest Thurmond book on Note Grouping. It will help musicality. Keep it up! Out of curiosity what Lotus size MP are you on?
as first flute who is a guy I can confirm
looking at the flutes was a crazy addition bc its literally her daughter😭😭 and all they do is bicker or talk ab everyone else together
Reminds me of the one time when I was in middle school and my band teacher questioned me because I did a crash(crash cymbals) and she thought there wasn't supposed to be one then idk why but I cried. I was an emotional kid and cried when I struggled to explain myself
Get your Horn up
That horn angle-
us cello players could never do that in time RIP
Called ur amateur
This feels targeted- flute player
As a flutist, I hear this way too often 😭
Teachers has the right to berate you with degrading comments until you prove them wrong
Where playing that song I Our band
So a bunch of neurotypical trumpet players then... that's rare... /j
Why does he hold his trumpet at such a low angle and what is there to roast
Valves first…yep
Light tonging and more air please
What's this piece called
bro as a vocalist (is that the word??? i'm in choir.) i can barely sightread the simplest shit i respect yall 😭
Not the band director calling your ears big!😂🤣😂🤣😭😭😭
This is the same thing I said on one of your other roast me videos: You sound a little tense but the biggest thing is you’re acting like there’s no dynamics in the page. Think about how someone who doesn’t know the piece would transcribe this. Would they put crescendos or would they just have a mf at the beginning? Overdo them more than you think and you’ll sound like a million bucks with the phrasing you have.
Fun fact if you’re in band you’re either a band kid or a kid in band there is a very big difference between the 2
I love the way the young people think it reminds me of my kids and it makes me feel happy and warm/cozy I want to get in the bed and watch old movies and eat popcorn now
You have a great tone!
I actually accidentally figured this out one day cause I realized I suck at the lower notes due to my embouchre
I can see your playing with resemblance with a dying cockroach or dying 😊mouse
I do this as a flute to make sure my hands still function and the pads don't stick
It took me decades to finally understand the importance of a relaxed tongue. It applies to both fast tonguing and just regular attacks at the beginning of phrases. Unfortunately I had a teacher that used the “thumb over the garden hose” analogy with me constantly which got me further away from what I needed. Didn’t start to click until years after I gave up taking auditions for jobs.
I’m a seventh grader in the marching band and yeah
As a person who has a friend in JROTC, I can confirm he always tries entering the bandroom.
How come buzzing your lips on it sounds weird with the mouthpiece but when you put the mouthpiece on the weird curvy body then it sounds cool
3. Doesn't see when people raise their hand to ask a question 4. Never lets percussion play then gets mad when we don't know the music and tells them they have to practice more
